More Baby Shower Photos

Baby Shower

Today my mom and mother-in-law and all my sisters threw me the best baby shower ever! We had such a good time and our little baby was so spoiled. All of our gifts were so great and it is overwhelming how supportive everyone has been. I guess it really does take a whole village in more than one way. The hospital bags are packed and if we had the little guy tomorrow, I think we would be in pretty good shape. My body is pretty exhausted though, so lets not hope that happens for five more weeks! :o)

The ladies did a "baby shower brunch". They had mini muffins, cinnamon rolls, french toast, fruit and fruit dip, an omelet, and an orange Julius, and it was all so good. I was lucky they had it so early because it literally took me the rest of the day to unpack everything, get clothes and blankets ready to go in the washer, and get it all organized.

I got all of the diapers and wipes stacked in the closet and being a "numbers person" I just had to count.......
1400 diapers and 20 large wipe refill packages, plus a few smaller travel size wipe packages. I hope that lasts a little while........ but crazy to think that many packages and it would only allow me to change his diaper 3.835 times a day for one year....... I think I'm going to go in to the diaper business.

I will post more pictures from the shower when I get them from family. It was just such an exciting day, such a success and I wanted to document it so that our little guy will know how much he is loved. And Casey and I feel so loved to have such good friends and good family that will support us in welcoming our little man to the world. Just when I feel so scared and worried to be a new mom, everyone steps right up and makes me feel so prepared.

Thanks to my wonderful mom for all her support today too. She helped me in the nursery all day long, we got the car seat installed, hospital bag packed, clothes ready for the laundry, only took a break to eat leftover eggs and cinnamon rolls for lunch again....... It was a fun day.

Jenz Loft Bag Party

Tonight I went to a bag party at Jen Gabrielson's house. She had tons of different kinds of bags: luggage, totes, purses, lunch bags, scripture bags, drawstring backpacks, pet carriers, and DIAPER BAGS!! There were lots of cute prints and the price includes the embroidered personalization on them. This was her first party and she is working on getting her shop on Facebook. If anyone is interesting in buying bags or hosting a party this is her website

Memory Lane

While Casey was visiting with my dad and Cooper over Christmas, they realized that dad had coached Casey's baseball team when Casey was 12 years old, and one of the first years that mom and dad had moved back to Heber. We went home and pulled out the scrapbooks and sure enough, there was evidence. It's hard to see, but in the background of Casey's top picture, there is a little 8 year old girl with big bangs named Chris. I guess we were meant to be together for a long time, it just took a while for it to happen.

Happy New Year!

We didn't do a whole lot for New Year's Eve this year. We went to Angie's house and ate way too much Don Pedros and ice cream sundaes. We were home by 9:30, watched the ball drop at midnight from bed, rolled over and went to sleep. Man we are getting old!
