One year ago today our lives changed forever when this sweet little boy came to be ours. It has been the best year of my life. We love him so much. Sunday night Casey and I reminded each other how we felt that weekend a year ago when we found out that Cael was breech and they were making us wait over the weekend to have a scheduled C-section on Monday morning. We were so scared and so excited. I laugh to myself because I remember how I used to think I loved Reece like a child, but now Reece is just a (special) dog and I had no idea that I could love a little person so much. I couldn't imagine life without him. Being Cael's mom is such a blessing. He makes me so happy.
At one year old, Cael is starting to show affection. He will lay his head on my shoulder and "love" me. He still only has ONE tooth! He has started to walk a little bit but still prefers to crawl. He can say "mama, dada, hello, hi, and bye" and wave. He loves his puppy Reece, horses, and all animals, exploring around the house, playing with his cousins, and playing in the shower. He also loves music. His favorite things to eat at the moment are poached eggs, yogurt, cream of wheat, spaghetti, and mac n cheese. He sleeps around 8-6 every night and takes two naps every day. He has the sweetest little laugh and is a happy little boy.
