Casey and Chris were married August 28, 2010 after dating for four years. We live in Midway with our two sons Cael and Colt and our dog Reece. We both work in the valley; Casey for Burton Lumber and Chris works from home for Millstream Properties. Casey enjoys hunting and anything outdoors. Chris spends her time scrapbooking, sewing, cooking, and doing anything crafty.

Barn Fire

Well we had a great night last weekend. We got a call at 10:30 at night and Casey's uncle's barn with our hay in it was on fire. We also had our bulls in a coral at the barn. Casey left and got home about 1:30 in the morning and the next day he left at 6:00 am. It was pretty much a complete loss. Things could've been worse but it was hard to see Casey's summer of hard work, changing sprinklers twice a day go up in flames. We are just happy no people, homes, or animals were hurt.

Baby Piggies

Our neighbor's pig had some babies and we took the boys over to see them. She had six, but they had to pull some and they were already dead when they delivered them and only three survived. The boys loved them.

Colt 2nd Birthday

We decided since we finally had snow this year, we would snowmobile in the field for Colt's birthday party since all the cousins wanted to come over and ride our snowmobiles anyway. We had the fire pit going outside and a fire inside. We had pizza and hot chocolate and cupcakes. I had to wake Colt up from a nap because the party had started without him and he wasn't too happy at first but after his first ride, he was hooked. We literally had to force him to come in the house and warm up when his cheeks were bright red. He LOVED the snowmobiles. He would take a lap around the field and as soon as it was over he would say "I want to wide" (I want to ride) and they would immediately take him out again.

Chris 2016

I usually don't post about myself very often. I would prefer to see pictures of my kids but I guess I want to remember my successes and life changes as well.

In 2015, the thing that I am most pleased about is my weight loss. I started eating healthier the end of February 2015 and lost 11 pounds. I kept it off pretty well until about September/October, I was bouncing up and down between 4 pounds. So between November 5th and Christmas I did a couple programs that mostly used Carb Cycling methods and I did some strength training; lifting weights and doing short cardio workouts 20-30 minutes a day and lost another 15 pounds. So in total I lost 22.6 pounds in 2015 and have just maintained the last 3 weeks. I'm back to wearing my pre-wedding clothes and I even wore some wranglers the other day I wore when I was Miss Rodeo Utah. It is such a great feeling. Casey bought me a couple pairs of skinny jeans and some gift cards for Christmas to buy new clothes. I have been buying 3/4's and 5/6's. Before I was buying size 8's and 10's in some dresses.

In May/June I took a promotion at work as the Payroll Manager and took over payroll for all of our companies. I pay between 400-500 employees and will be doing about 900 W-2's in January. I still work from home and go in the office once a week to print checks. I love my job. This year, I have been there 9 years. They are really good to me and I really like the people that I work with.

At church I was released as Primary Secretary last week after 2 1/2 years and was called to be a Primary Sunbeams teacher. I was kind of looking forward to going to Sunday School with Casey and being in Relief Society but I'm willing to try it for while. I think Sunbeams is the funnest age to teach in primary, my only concern is that Cael is in my class and I think he might have more to learn from someone else being his teacher but you never know. Maybe we both will learn from it.

2015 was a good year for me and I'm looking forward to 2016.

New Years Eve 2015 at Casey's sister's house. The boys had a blast.

I feel great about my weight loss but I still struggle with looking in the mirror and seeing myself the way I think I should. I remember the night of this Christmas party I was pretty self conscience about wearing these red pants, but looking at a picture of myself on Casey's phone, I should be a little more confident. They don't look all that bad. :)
