Lava Hot Springs/ Bear World

We took our camp trailer to Lava Hot Springs over Memorial Day weekend with Casey's two sisters and one of his brothers. The kids had a blast as usual and wore themselves out. They love playing with their cousins. We spent one day in Bear World. All the animals were very cool and the boys loved the petting zoo and the rides.

Swimming Lessons

Cael took swimming lessons with Cameron King every Thursday for a couple weeks in May. At his last lesson, Cameron told us to bring a suit for Colt because he seemed real interested. It ended up scaring Colt a little but both boys did real well. Cameron is a great teacher. Very good with kids and very patient.

Mother's Day

Being a mom to these two is the greatest blessing in life. It's not always easy. They are rowdy and wound up all the time, they break things, they don't listen, then don't eat their meals, they make each other cry. Then there's times that I question myself and what I should do. Do I be nice and let them get away with things or do I discipline and punish them? I've admitted more than once that I am a yeller. I don't want to be but sometimes I feel that is the only language they understand. On top of that working from home, I constantly have things to do including caring for them and taking care of a household and I know the days that I have more to do, the less patient I am. There's days I have to tell myself, I'm doing the best I can do and days where I tell myself I need to do better. I'm thankful that they are so forgiving and love me as much as I love them.

At the end of the day we read them a story in bed and they give us hugs and kisses and cuddles and my heart is so happy and I would do anything to make them happy. It's my goal to be a kind, nurturing, and loving mom; to show them how to love others and be kind, courteous, and have good manners. I also want them to be responsible, hard working, be able to make good decisions, and know that our actions can sometimes have consequences.

On this Mother's Day I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with the best family. I have the best parents and in-laws and I hope to raise my family by their example. I'm thankful for my husband. I'm so lucky to have him and I could't have found a better match for me. And I'm thankful that he gave me my two boys. I love them unconditionally and they make me want to be a better mom and a better person.
