Six Months

Cael is already six months old! He loves his cousins. Ava is 7 months older than Cael and Jensen was just born on August 21st. He likes to watch the older kids play and I know he wishes so bad he could just jump up and run around with them. He is going to be a rowdy child. At his six month appointment he weighed 15.6 lbs and was in the 15%. He has to touch everything within reach with his hands and his mouth. He is a little stinker. He has learned how to spit and I don't find it as funny as dad does. But he makes me smile. He is such a happy little boy and his blue eyes just melt my heart. I love him so much! We went to watch Grandpa at the roping a couple weeks ago and Grandpa won a check! And Cael got to ride Congo. He loves to watch the horses.

Last House Update

I hope this is my last update on the house before I'm living in it. I was trying to be optimistic when I said September 1st, now I'm just going to say October 1st and if I'm lucky it will be the weekend of September 22nd. :) The cupboards are set and the they are templating the granite counters today. There is alot to do still but I hope it goes fast.

I love all of my cabinets and closets by the way. Our house was built for storage. I love it, Casey thinks its overkill. No way! I'm excited to have my pantry and fruit room done. I have been working on getting it filled. I have put up 6 cases of beans, 4 cases of peaches, 2 cases of pickels, 2 cases of salsa, and I'm working on 2-3 cases of pears.

I lost count, but we have over 30 doors in the house. Glad we hired a painter instead of trying to do it on our own!

The Countdown

The countdown is finally on! We have locked in our interest rate with the bank and have 50 days to get our house done and occupied, so we are looking at September 13th, but are still pushing for September 1st.

We are liking how everything is turning out. We like our brick and like it even more with the stone that was started today. We are using the same stone on the upstairs fireplace. The finish work is getting started this weekend so that we can get a painter in and hopefully it keeps rolling. I am getting pretty excited!

Five Months

I can't believe Cael is already five months old. He is growing so fast and getting such a cute little personality. I love playing with him and making him giggle. I don't have to be away from him often but every second I'm not with him I miss him. I was at the doctor's office without him the other day and a baby crying in the other room made me want to cry because he wasn't with me. I don't know how I ever lived without him.

He has found his tongue and his toes. He is eating baby cereal like a champ. He sleeps 6-7 hours usually at night before he wakes up to eat and go back to sleep. He takes a couple naps everyday and likes playing with his toys and his cousins. He has screaming contests with his dad and is a pretty loud little boy.

I was a chaperon for Miss Rodeo Utah again this year and my mom was great to come spend the week with us and watch Cael. I couldn't have done it without her. He loved horsemanship and the fashion show. He kicked his arms and legs in excitement through each of those events. He slept through speeches in the hall with mommy and the contestants waiting to give their speech. All of the contestants, judges, and committee played with him and had fun and it was good for both of us to get out and around other people. We don't do it very often; we are just home bodies.

Sleeping on the Job

I don't even have to go in to the office to see a co-worker fall asleep. Haha. I have one at home! This little boy sure makes me happy. I sat him on the desk today where he could see me working while he watched Baby Einstein on the other computer and played with his toys......... And slowly wilted.

Big Boy Food

I decided to go ahead and start Cael on baby cereal at four months. It has been real fun to watch him grow. He likes it more and more every week and I can't wait to start trying new things. I'm not a very fun mommy. He hasn't tried anything good yet, but hopefully that will make him a good eater if we start with the yucky stuff first. Eating cereal obviously helped him sleep better......
