Me and Cael went over the Real Foods Market Food Fair to try and be helpful to mom. He just wanted to play with the baby farm animals. Mom works for Redmond and in addition to their salt and clay production, they also have a couple markets and grow alot of their own produce, have a dairy farm, and they sell all organic food and I'm pretty sure everything is also sugar and gluten free. Mom makes and sells blankets and bibs and hooded towels and other things in their store. They also had her set up her own booth at their fair. It was kinda fun. We went around and sampled some food and played with the animals.

15 months
Cael is a lot like his dad. He loves being outside. He loves the four-wheeler and the snowmobile. We take him on four wheeler rides and then he will come in the house and make engine sounds while he sits on his toy four wheeler. He loves to play in the water. He will run right through the sprinkler in the garden and laugh when it sprays him in the face. When I'm working in the garden he will take off running over to Aunt Veon's house. He knows that cookies come out of that house and I think he likes playing on her grass.
He has been sick a couple times this month. He had an ear infection and now all three of us have a nasty head cold. While he has been sick he just liked to be held. He crawled under my desk one day to snuggle with Reece. I was working away and a little while later realized that Reece had come out and was laying by the door but I didn't remember Cael coming out from under the desk. I looked down and he was asleep. It was cute but made me feel bad for the little guy too.

Yard Work and Sunburns
Casey, Cael and I had a long day working in the yard. While Cael took his morning 3 1/2 hour nap I got some work done in my garden. Last weekend I got rows of peas, carrots, spinach, kale, lettuce, red onions, and yellow onions planted. Today I set up some black tarps and walls of water along the building for my tomato and pepper plants. I also ran over to my neighbor's house and stole some raspberry starts to transplant in to my garden. I did two rows. I can't wait to have raspberries. Hopefully in a year or two they will produce. Casey went and picked up a load of trees to plant before we get our curbing and grass here. The trees make our house look soooo nice. I'm excited. We were going to chip away at the yard but decided to just get it over with and get a big chunk done. Cael and I started planting flowers but he was being too helpful so we started watering trees and doing other work around the house. Then we picked up a pizza, Cael took his bath and played with grandma for awhile because she had been out of town, then he went to bed and I finished planting my flowers and now we have all crashed. My body aches and my skin is on fire but it was nice to get so much done today.

Garden??
Casey and I are buying the lot across the street from our house and I guess Cael and I will try and plant a garden over there. I don't know very much about gardening, but I'm going to take good notes and have real low expectations. I'm expecting it to take several years to figure out, if I ever do figure it out. Right now I think you could go buy canned vegetables on a case lot sale cheaper than you can grow your own, but I think there will come a time that won't be the case anymore and I want to already know how to grow one myself.
So far my neighbor has come and tilled my ground for me with his tractor. I have planted tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, and cauliflower starts in the house. I will probably plant my peas, spinach, kale, and lettuce outside this weekend.
I am also planning on planting carrots, potatoes, onions, corn, beans, a couple kinds of squash, cucumbers, and pumpkins. My neighbor's daughter might plant some beets there and my other neighbor is going to give me some raspberry starts from her garden.
A couple other ideas we have been throwing around to use our space are chickens, pigs, and Christmas Trees. It will also be nice to have the steel building. Its going to be interesting!

14 months
To say he keeps me on my toes in an understatement. This is one wild little boy. 14 months is a lot of fun and crazy. Cael has learned how to turn the water on in the tub, and throw things in the tub to get wet. He loves going outside and cries every time we have to go inside. He warms up to adults pretty quick but absolutely loves playing with kids.
He likes to sing and dance. He likes playing with balls and I think he will probably want to play sports. He can say a lot of words but I still have to ask him to say them. The only thing he consistently says on his own is "hi" and waves. We have been working on please, thank you, and I love you. He will say "momma" and point and me and I will say "Cael" and he will point at himself.
He's getting to be a little more picky about what he eats but he still likes eggs and cheese. He also really likes ham and will eat some meat. He ate broccoli the other day and didn't spit it out. He isn't too fond of vegetables lately but is pretty good at eating fruit. He likes not so healthy food: pizza, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter sandwiches, and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Tearing the pantry apart. I left him home with daddy for awhile and he got in to the flour. Casey said he was throwing it in the air and was down on his belly rolling in it and spreading it around with his hands. I got a text from Casey saying "I can't handle this kid".
