Cael's Birthday

My big man turned four years old today. He slept way late on his birthday. It was a Saturday but Casey needed to get some things done so we went in his room to wake him up. Casey said "guess whose Birthday is today" and Cael said a little irritated "I know. I know dad, it's mine". Like duh you don't need to tell me. We just laughed. 

He got lots of fun stuff including a strider bike (no pedals or training wheels). It's supposedly the new thing that teaches kids balance without training wheels. We also got him the movie Sword and the Stone and some wizard stuff. He loves magic and making potions. He loved it. I bought fabric to make him a cape but for now we tie it on him and he is happy with that. 

We sure do love our little four year old. He is such a sweet boy. He is always thinking of others, he is very smart, has a lot of energy, and loves his family. We don't know what we would do without him.

Barn Fire

Well we had a great night last weekend. We got a call at 10:30 at night and Casey's uncle's barn with our hay in it was on fire. We also had our bulls in a coral at the barn. Casey left and got home about 1:30 in the morning and the next day he left at 6:00 am. It was pretty much a complete loss. Things could've been worse but it was hard to see Casey's summer of hard work, changing sprinklers twice a day go up in flames. We are just happy no people, homes, or animals were hurt.

Baby Piggies

Our neighbor's pig had some babies and we took the boys over to see them. She had six, but they had to pull some and they were already dead when they delivered them and only three survived. The boys loved them. 

Colt 2nd Birthday

We decided since we finally had snow this year, we would snowmobile in the field for Colt's birthday party since all the cousins wanted to come over and ride our snowmobiles anyway. We had the fire pit going outside and a fire inside. We had pizza and hot chocolate and cupcakes. I had to wake Colt up from a nap because the party had started without him and he wasn't too happy at first but after his first ride, he was hooked. We literally had to force him to come in the house and warm up when his cheeks were bright red. He LOVED the snowmobiles. He would take a lap around the field and as soon as it was over he would say "I want to wide" (I want to ride) and they would immediately take him out again.
