The doctor called me with results from the ultrasound today. Our baby is only measuring 35 weeks when he should be 37 1/2 weeks. All of our previous appointments, he has measured on schedule so the doctor thinks my due date is accurate, but the baby is not growing anymore. He said that it is a very common thing to happen and there is nothing to worry about.
Next week I will meet with my doctor on Tuesday and he will re-measure the baby. On Wednesday I will meet with a specialist at Utah Valley Regional Hospital. She will determine whether all the baby's organs are mature and everything is healthy and she will decide with my doctor whether they will induce me early to get the baby out and gaining weight again.
It's hard to not worry but I really like my doctor and I know that he will take care of us. And I may get to hold my little one a week early.
