We had a fun little week at our house. I think it is fun to get outside anyway after being home working, in the house all week. Thursday I went to work in the office for half the day and then that evening the boys and I went and rode with Casey cutting the oats. I left Cael with Casey and went home to fix dinner (I made Cafe Rio Pork Burritos) and to meet the stake Patriarch to get a copy of our blessings that we were given last Sunday. Neither Casey or I had received our Patriarchal Blessings before so we went and got them together. It was a really good experience.
Friday Casey moved our cows into a field by our house that had more feed and the boys and I met him in the field and rode the horses with him for awhile. I wasn't planning on riding, or I wouldn't have been wearing sandals. We went and played a game of basketball with our nieces at Jay and Becky's house after we took the horses back. All the kids had a good time.
Saturday I cleaned house and put up beans and pickles with Grandma Wade. So far I have got 3 dozen green beans and 5 quarts of pickles.
Sunday we went to church. Afterwards we met with our bishop and Casey and I got our temple recommends! We need to meet with our Stake President and hopefully in the next few weeks we will go to the temple to received our endowments and have our family sealed for all eternity. I am so excited and feel so blessed to have the church in our lives. So many wonderful blessing have come in to our lives in the last 2 1/2 years. Sunday night Casey built a fire in our fire pit and we roasted marshmallows and had a little picnic and Colt got his first two teeth! He had been ornery all day and while we were laying on the blanket in the grass I was looking in his mouth and his bottom two teeth were barely cutting through at 7 1/2 months.
I feel pretty blessed. I have two adorable little boys; a handsome, hardworking husband that my boys and I adore; we have good jobs; we have our health; a nice place to call home; we love our parents and family and friends; and we are thankful for the gospel and the opportunity to raise our children to know their Heavenly Father and to know that he loves us.
